UGANDA - Under-county of Bufumbo, Elgon Mount
The Bufumbo Organic Coffee Farmers Association is an association of farmers formed in 1997 in the village of Bufumbo, Mbale district, with the aim of improving the living conditions of the farmers and passing from small peasant farming to a more commercial structure.
Currently, it gathers 343 families of farmers.
Their coffee is grown in the heights of Mount Elgon, in the area of origin of the largest tribes in the eastern Uganda Bagisu, and consists of Bugishu coffee, which is washed arabica coffee, showing excellent organoleptic characteristics.
They are certified Organic and UTZ, a certification that we have stimulated and to which we have contributed.
