BUFUMBO
Origine: Uganda, Eastern Africa, Subcounty of Bufumbo, Mount Elgon.
Producer: The Bufumbo Organic Coffee Farmers Association (http://bofa.co.ug/) is an association of farmers formed in 1997 in the village of Bufumbo, the district of Mbale, with the aim of improving the living conditions of the farmers of the area and move from small peasant cultivation to a more commercial structure. It currently collects 343 families of farmers. Their coffee is grown in the heights of Mount Elgon, in the area of the great Bagisu tribe of Eastern Uganda, and consists of bugishu coffee, which is arabica washed, showing excellent organoleptic characteristics.
Description: Arabica (SL14, SL28), Washed. Organic Certificate.
Altitude: 1400-2000 meters above sea level. Harvest: from October to February.
Taste Notes: Adequate balancing between a thick body and moderate acidity with an aromatic quality often characterized by soft hints of dried fruit. One of the best coffee in the world to savor without hesitation, light toasted, extracted with the french press or other pouring techniques, and accompanied by crunchy desserts, possibly with dried fruits such as roasted nuts or almonds.
